AJE December Component Reveal

As I said several times already (I'm just a little excited) I won the December component over at Art Jewelry Elements! The sweetest little snowflake from Diana of Suburban Girl Designs.

Diana's Snowflakes - aren't they CUTE!?

I got to designing right away, and with only a couple minor tweaks to the design I got my components made up fairly quickly. Then with a little sit and stare time I decided on the best way to assemble them all into a pretty sweet choker.

Only one moment of panic when I realized I had attached the filigree backward on the end of the beadwork and had to cut it back off and reattach. I really like this one, it's just so full of sweetness you just can't help but smile at it.

Pop on over to the Art Jewelry Elements blog with me to see what the others have made with their snowflakes. I'm sure they've come up with some gorgeous pieces of their own!

Thanks for stopping by!
See you next time!

  5. How very clever to turn the snowflake the other direction and hang dangles from it! That's a perfect design for all winter and my daughter would probably snatch this up since she adores chokers. Beautiful design! Thank you so much for reading AJE and participating in the design challenge.

  12. This is such a great piece! I love how you turned the focal in the total opposite direction, using the hooks for dangle connections!...what a fabulous idea! It gives the focal so much added dimension and...we all love sweet dangles! Lovely piece☺️

  13. I love that you came up with a totally original design idea for the pendant! Very cool! I also like that the bead weaving has sort of a wavy, up and down pattern. Don't know what stitch that it, but its really pretty!

    1. Thank you Linda! It's right angle weave, very versatile stitch :) My tension was a little off almost makes it look like a herringbone stitch but I really like how it works with the snowflake.
